In summary
We photograph and film our events. Each attendee chooses, for themselves, whether we may use pictures in which they appear. Saying no is always fine, and you can change your mind later.
1. Why we take photographs and video
We record our events and workshops to show what they are like, to report on them, and to promote future events in print and online, including our website, social media, newsletters and presentations.
2. Your choice
When you book, each attendee can tick a box giving consent for photographs and video in which they appear to be used. The box is optional and is not a condition of attending.
We record each attendee's choice. If you do not tick it, our photographer is told to avoid photographing you, and your name appears on the do-not-photograph list used at check-in.
3. Limits in a shared room
We will make reasonable efforts to respect your choice, but in a shared room or a group shot you may still appear incidentally. If that happens and you object, tell us and we will remove it.
4. Changing your mind or removing an image
You can change your choice, or ask us to remove a particular photograph or video, at any time by emailing info@pac.africa with the details. We act within a reasonable time. We cannot recall material already printed or shared by others.
