Why This Course Matters
Honest Peer Review
Peers from comparable institutions review your reforms and ask the questions insiders tend to avoid. That challenge surfaces weaknesses early, while they are still cheap to fix.
Financial Integrity
Central banks sit where corruption proceeds try to enter the financial system. Stronger integrity controls in your institution and sector make those proceeds harder to hide and easier to trace.
Regional Momentum
Annual plenaries and periodic regional dialogues keep reform on the agenda between meetings. Sustained contact with peers makes it easier to hold to your own reform timetable.
Programme
Day 1
Reform landscape: UNCAC, AUCPCC & regional commitments
You will review the international and regional anti-corruption commitments your country has made, and map where your institution's integrity framework meets them and where it still falls short.
Day 2
Peer review: business & financial-sector integrity
You will present or review a reform case in structured peer-review sessions, testing measures on conflicts of interest, asset declarations, procurement and financial-sector integrity against regional practice.
Day 3
Regional dialogue, lessons learned & action planning
You will draw lessons from the peer reviews into a short, sequenced action plan for your institution, with clear owners and indicators you can report on at the next regional dialogue.
Standards & Faculty Benchmark
UNCAC
The UN Convention against Corruption and its Implementation Review Mechanism for peer review.
AU Convention on Combating Corruption
The African Union convention setting regional commitments on preventing and combating corruption.
OECD Recommendation on Public Integrity
A framework for building a coherent, risk-based public integrity system across institutions.
Your country's anti-corruption record is reviewed against UNCAC and regional conventions, and investors and partners read those reviews. Grounding your institution's reforms in the same frameworks makes your progress visible and credible in the reviews that matter.
Is This Right for You?
- ☑You lead or support integrity reforms in your institution
- ☑Your institution wants outside challenge on its governance
- ☑You value peer learning over classroom instruction
Good to Know
Designed for officials already working on governance, integrity or compliance; participants are encouraged to bring a current reform issue for peer review. You leave with peer feedback on your reforms and a sequenced integrity action plan for your institution.
The Bottom Line
Return with reforms tested by peers and an action plan you can report against at next year's dialogue.
